His Majesty King Abdullah II has underscored the U.S. vital role to establish peace in the Middle East, solve the Palestinian issue and put an end to conflict in the region through new mechanism that can be felt on the ground. "At no time, have the regional players been more aware, of the heavy price of this crisis, and more ready, for solution. And certainly, at no time, has there been such a wide international consensus, about America's leadership role, " King Abdullah said in a speech delivered Monday at Brookings Institution.

"We can not now, just hoist the old mechanism back on the old negotiation tracks, and expect to make any forward progress. We need a new an engine of change," King Abdullah said.

To achieve peace, King Abdullah added, "people need to see the results, real security, viable independence, and a future of hope."
