His Majesty King Abdullah and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas spoke by phone on Saturday to discuss efforts to realise Palestinian national reconciliation and foster Palestinian unity.

King Abdullah emphasised that the two-state solution will remain the basis for any future efforts to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and bring about security and stability in the region.

Abbas said he highly valued the King's support for the Palestinians and their just cause.
