His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday telephoned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the latest developments and efforts to restart Palestinian-Israeli peace negotiations.

During the telephone, King Abdullah stressed Jordan's support for both the Palestinian National Authority and President Abbas in their efforts to realize Palestinian rights, saying that the Palestinian people are entitled to a viable and independent state on Palestinian soil.
