Kazakhstan president to visit Jordan

Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev will pay a two-day official visit to Jordan on November 28 at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah. President Nazarbayev will hold talks with His Majesty and senior Jordanian officials on bilateral ties as well as the latest developments on the regional and international levels.

King Abdullah travelled to Kazakhstan in November 2005. During a working visit, he met with President Nazarbayev and senior Kazakh officials to discuss cultural, economic and trade issues of common concern. A joint business council was also formed to enhance trade and investment exchange between the two countries.

The two countries also signed a twinning agreement between Amman and Astana to develop economic and cultural relations and promote the exchange of expertise in areas related to city planning, environment protection education, health and infrastructure.

Five more bilateral agreements will be signed when President Nazarbayev's travels to Amman this week.
