Jordan, China sign nuclear energy deals

His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday met with Head of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Jia Qinglin, and reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, attended by Senate President Zeid Rifai, the King highlighted the available opportunities and prospects to intensify cooperation between Jordan and China in the fields of economy, commerce, technical and infrastructure services, renewable energy and mining.

Addressing current regional conditions, King Abdullah underscored China's significant role in consolidating peace and stability in the Middle East.

The Chinese official voiced appreciation of the King's continued efforts to achieve peace in the region, expressing Beijing's interest in building strong ties with Amman.
