His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday telephoned Siniora and said Jordan supported Lebanon's approval of the UN resolution.

The King said efforts should focus “in the next step on rebuilding Lebanon and helping the displaced return to their villages and towns”.

The King told the premier that Jordan, “in cooperation with other Arab and Western countries, will continue efforts to ensure the implementation of the Security Council resolution as well as an end to the suffering of the Lebanese people”.

Jordan will continue to dispatch relief aid to Lebanon, the King said.
