His Majesty King Abdullah II Holds Iftar Banquet to Palestinian Arabs in Israel

As part of His Majesty King Abdullah II s keen interest to maintain close ties of brotherhood with Palestinian Arabs in Israel and to strengthen bridges of affection and confidence between Israeli Arabs and their Arab nation, the King hold an iftar banquet at the Royal Court on Tuesday attended by dignitaries and public leaders from Galilee , Al Muthalath and Negev towns in Israel.

In a speech following the banquet, head of the local and municipal council committee, thanked His Majesty King Abdullah for his efforts to back the Palestinian people in face of the continued Israeli atrocities.

He also thanked the Jordanian government for offering scholarships to hundreds of Palestinian students from Israel to continue their higher studies at Jordanian universities. "We are part of our Palestinian people and Arab nation aspiring for just and comprehensive peace based on international legitimacy.... we are confident that Your Majesty will pursue his efforts to defend the Arab nations rights," he said.

Addressing the audience were Israeli Knesset members Talab Sane i and Saleh Tarif, a minister without portfolio. They both highly appreciated Jordan s support to the Palestinian people which has been truly demonstrated in deeds and not in words.
