Dozens of Hashemite Charity Caravans on Friday headed to the central governorates of Amman, Balqa, Zarqa, Madaba and Central Badia to distribute food parcels to needy families on the occasion of His Majesty King Abdullah's birthday.
Royal Court Adviser Yousef Issawi said the 101-truck aid convoy carried 8,075 food parcels. Each one covers a family's needs for six months, Issawi noted, adding that charity caravans will head to the northern governorates on February 3 and the southern governorates on February 8.
Issawi underlined King's concern for the well-being of all Jordanians, noting that the Hashemite Charity Organisation continues to expand the circle of the organisation's beneficiaries.
