The government on Thursday pledged to perform its duties with utmost integrity and fairness in accordance with the law.

In a letter addressed to His Majesty King Abdullah, Prime Minister Samir Rifai said every member of the Cabinet, including himself, signed a code of conduct that they all are required to adhere to and which is intended to serve as an additional reference by which Jordanians may judge their performance.

"In implementation of Your Majesty's directives, the Council of Ministers today [Thursday] signed the code of conduct, which underlines the rules that will be followed by the prime minister and each of the Cabinet members," Rifai said in the letter.

"This document will be a public document and an additional reference for Jordanians in judging the performance of the ministerial team," the King's letter said.
