His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday emphasized that the government, deputies and senators should work as one team to implement the recommendations of the “We are All Jordan” Forum.

During a meeting at the Royal Court with heads of parliamentary committees and blocs, King Abdullah said he was optimistic that the Lower House extraordinary session will succeed in passing laws in the political and socio-economic sectors.

The King stressed that the success of the extraordinary session in this regard will function as a message to Jordanians and the region.

Heads of the Lower House blocs and committees underscored the House's keenness to ratify legislation related to the forum.

Lower House Speaker Abdul Hadi Majali said the House will increase its sessions to endorse the corresponding bills.

King Abdullah also reviewed his efforts in attracting investment in all parts of the country.

On the regional level, the King briefed the presidents of parliamentary blocs and committee on the regional situation and challenges the Middle East faces.

The King said his efforts were meant to develop a unified Arab position vis-a-vis the developments and the conflicts in the region and come up with a unified speech to address the world.

He added that the challenges in Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon require a comprehensive Arab strategy to face them.

Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit, who attended the meeting along with senior officials, underlined the need to guide the young people and encourage them to enroll into vocational training programmes.

He emphasized the necessity to look into the educational output as thousands of students graduate annually but do not find jobs.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdul Ilah Khatib reviewed Jordan's position towards the Israeli aggression against Lebanon, noting in this respect that Jordan has supported the Lebanese government since the beginning of the conflict.

Reiterating support for Lebanon, the minister said Jordan was ready to contribute to reconstruction there, especially in rebuilding bridges.
