His Majesty King Abdullah said extremists, who thrive on conflict, who do not tolerate diversity and who seek power through division and destruction, hope to create a global system of new walls and new isolation, and radically smaller horizons.

"There is only one defense: To stand together, to keep the global gateways open, to enlarge the sphere of dialogue and cooperation, and to use our utmost efforts to achieve peace in critical conflict zones," said His Majesty the King at a ceremony held by Hamburg Municipality on Friday.
