Cabinet Reshuffle

A royal decree was issued Wednesday approving a reshuffle of Prime Minister Samir Rifai's government.

Following is the lineup of the new ministers:

1.Khaled Karaki, Minister of Education and Deputy Premier

2.Tawfiq Kraishan, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs

3.Hisham Tal, Minister of Justice

4.Suhair Al Ali, State Minister for Cabinet Affairs

5.Ibrahim Omoush, State Minister for Prime Ministry and Legal Affairs

6.Ali Al Ayed, Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications

7.Mazen Khasawneh, Minister of Agriculture

8.Suzanne Afaneh, Minister of Tourism

9.Samir Murad, Minister of Labour

The new ministers were sworn in before His Majesty King Abdullah II in the presence of Prime Minister Samir Rifai, Royal Court Chief Nasser Lozi, King's Adviser Ali Al Faza', King's Adviser for Tribal Affairs Sharif Fawaz Bin Abdullah, and the King's Adviser Ayman Safadi.

King Abdullah extended thanks to the outgoing ministers, expressing appreciation for their efforts in serving the country and its citizens.
