Upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Armed Forces General Command in cooperation with the government wrapped up a plan to restructure the salary scale and annual pay increases of the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) and security personnel.
The restructuring was announced following a visit by King Abdullah to the armed forces headquarters, accompanied by Prime Minister Samir Rifai, to mark Jordan's celebrations of Independence Day, Army Day, the Great Arab Revolt and the anniversary of King Abdullah's accession to the throne.
Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff Lt. General Mashaal Mohammad Al Zaben addressed a letter to the King thanking him for his gesture.
