Armed Forces mark Al Karamah Battle anniversary

His Majesty King Abdullah the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces patronized a ceremony commemorating the 41st anniversary of the Karamah Battle.

Arriving Marty's Monument in the Jordan Valley, the King was welcomed by a number of princes, the prime minister and defense minister, the Senate president, the Army chief, the King's advisors and other top military and civic officials.

King Abdullah reviewed an honour guard and laid a wreath on the Unknown Soldier's Monument. He also viewed names, photographs and flags of the army units that took part in the Karamah Battle before touring an exhibition held by the army forces' Moral Guidance Department. The exhibition included military portraits, publications and books depicting events of the Karamah Battle and the victory of the Arab Army.
