His Majesty King Abdullah II on Monday conducted a joint video call alongside Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, with France President Emmanuel Macron, United Kingdom Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, and Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney.
During the video call, His Majesty underscored the need to step up regional and international efforts to stop Israeli violations of state sovereignty.
The leaders condemned Israel’s aggression against Qatar and highlighted the importance of the international conference on the implementation of the two-state solution, due to be held later this month in New York, as a step towards promoting dialogue and creating a political horizon for achieving peace.
The call, conducted in Doha on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, covered the need to end the war on Gaza, as well as the recent developments in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
