Translated from Arabic

In the name of God, the Most Merciful, the Compassionate,

Your Excellency Adnan Badran,

May God protect you,
Peace, God’s mercy and His blessings upon you,

It gives me pleasure to extend to you and your cabinet my best regards and sincere wishes for happiness and success, and to express my appreciation for your sincere efforts and your devotion in performing your duties.

Since I commissioned you to form the government, you, along with the ministers, assumed your responsibilities with honesty and have worked devotedly and sincerely in spite of the difficult conditions facing the government and the pressures that were visited upon it nearly since its formation.

Your ultimate goal was to serve Jordan, and we will always cherish your honesty, integrity, courage, sincerity and impartiality in doing so. Since you have submitted your resignation and that of your government to me, I accept your resignation, while reaffirming my trust in you, my appreciation for the work of all of you and my enduring respect and appreciation. I am sure that you and your colleagues will be, as I have always known you to be, patriots who are forever at the ready to respond to the call of duty.

I pray to God Almighty to protect you all, bless you with His care and grant you success in the service of our dear Jordan.

Peace, God's mercy and blessings upon you,

Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein
