His Majesty King Abdullah met with the Archbishop of Washington Wilton Cardinal Gregory on Monday.
 
The meeting, held on the sidelines of King Abdullah’s official visit to Washington, DC, covered Jordan's advantages as a destination for Christian religious tourism, and the Kingdom's efforts to further develop the Baptism Site of Jesus Christ in Bethany Beyond the Jordan, which receives Christian pilgrims from around the world.
 
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, and Jordan’s Ambassador in Washington, DC, Dina Kawar attended the meeting.
