King receives credentials of newly appointed ambassadors

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday accepted the credentials of a number of newly appointed ambassadors to Jordan, during a ceremony held at the Basman Palace.

At the ceremony, King Abdullah received the credentials of Ali Ahmad Al Omrani of Yemen, Andrzej Swiezaczynski of Poland, Vasileios Bornovas of Greece, Mohamed Sitri of Morocco, Murat Karagoz of Turkey, non-resident ambassador of Tajikistan, Zubaid Zubaidov, non-resident ambassador of Slovakia, Lubomir Macko and the non-resident ambassador of Vietnam, Hoang Khac Viet.

Arriving at the Basman Palace for the ceremony, the King inspected the guard of honour as a military band played the national anthems of Jordan and the ambassadors’ respective countries.

The diplomats laid wreaths on the tombs of King Hussein Bin Talal, King Abdullah I and King Talal Bin Abdullah.

The Royal Hashemite Court chief, and the deputy prime minister and minister of foreign and expatriate affairs attended the ceremony.
