His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday commended the efforts of the Royal Committee for the Follow-up and Evaluation of the National Integrity Charter during the past two years in enhancing integrity as a pillar in the reform process and helping implement it on the ground.

 

At a meeting with the committee’s president and members, King Abdullah noted that the 2015 Integrity and Anti-Corruption Law, which resulted in forming the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, represents a vital product of reform.

 

The King stressed the importance of building on the achievements of the committee, which has issued reports that would contribute to ideal application of the integrity system by concerned authorities.

 

The head of the committee, Rajai Muasher, outlined the cooperation and coordination of the committee with various concerned institutions, realising His Majesty’s vision of reform, which seeks to instil integrity as a culture that modifies individual and collective conduct.

 

Muasher and members of the committee expressed their appreciation of the King’s support for the committee as it embarked on its mandate.

 

His Majesty designated Muasher, in a letter in 2014, to head the Royal Committee for the Follow-up and Evaluation of the National Integrity Charter.

 

The committee has worked for two years in line with a timeframe and an executive plan to achieve the goals for which it was established.
