King receives phone call from British PM

His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday received a telephone call from British Prime Minister Theresa May, during which they highlighted the “historic friendship” between Jordan and the UK in all fields.

May expressed the UK’s keenness to continue supporting the Kingdom’s efforts, at all levels, exerted to achieving peace and security in the region.

The prime minister also praised Jordan’s endeavours in hosting Syrian refugees and fighting extremism and terrorism.

King Abdullah and the British premier voiced both countries’ commitment to continued efforts to enhance bilateral relations.
