His Majesty King Abdullah stressed the importance of legislative institutions in Jordan and Austria in promoting ties between the two countries.

King Abdullah made the remarks during a visit to the Austrian Parliament which comprises the National Council and the Federal Council.

During the visit, His Majesty met with President of the National Council, Doris Bures and discussed with him the latest developments in the Middle East region, as well as the international efforts to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis.

The King renewed Jordan’s condemnation of the terrorist attacks that hit the region and the world as well, calling for united efforts by the international community to confront terrorism in the whole world.

His Majesty also met with the Austrian Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense and a number of political parties’ leaders in the Austrian Parliament, and discussed with lawmakers the Syrian crisis and efforts with the international community to address the crisis.
