His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday voiced Jordan’s full support for Iraq’s efforts to maintain stability and sovereignty over its territories.

At a meeting with Iraq’s Parliament Speaker Salim Al Jabouri, Vice President Osama Al Nujaifi and Deputy Prime Minister Saleh Al Mutlaq, King Abdullah also reaffirmed Jordan’s support for the political process that involves all segments of the Iraqi community with the aim of enhancing consensus and building a strong, united Iraq.

Discussions at the meeting also covered developments in Iraq and the Iraqi government’s efforts in fighting terrorist groups.

For their part, the Iraqi officials briefed the King on the current issues facing Iraq, commending the Kingdom’s support for their country.
