His Majesty King Abdullah received on Saturday cables from number of Arab leaders and senior officials on the occasion of Prophet Mohamad’s birthday in which they wished King Abdullah continued good health and the Jordanian people further progress and prosperity.

The King received similar cables from the Prime Minister, Senate president, Lower House speaker, Judicial Council president, Constitutional Court president, the Chief Justice, the grand mufti of Jordan, the army chief and directors of the departments of general intelligence, public security, civil defence, the gendarmerie and the Economic and Social Association of Retired Servicemen and Veterans.

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II also received similar cables on this occasion from senior civil and military officials.

On the occasion of marking the birth of Prophet Mohammad, His Majesty tweeted (Abdullah Bin Al Hussein #‎ABH) to congratulate Arabs and Muslims, highlighting the essence of the Prophet’s message of enlightenment, tolerance and the peaceful call to Allah.

“On this blessed day we mark the birth of our Arab Hashemite great grandfather, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), who was sent to deliver mankind from the darkness of ignorance into the light of righteousness. We ask the Almighty on this occasion to bless our beloved Jordan and the Arab and Muslim world to guide our efforts to preserve Islam’s tolerant and peaceful message,” the tweet said.
