King accepts resignation of Prince Raad as president of the HCD

His Majesty King Abdullah accepted on Monday the resignation of His Royal Highness Prince Raad Bin Zeid, the Chief Chamberlain, as president of the Higher Council for Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, upon his request.

In a letter to Prince Raad, King Abdullah voiced his pride in the efforts undertaken by His Highness over the past years as well as his sincere and serious work in providing care to people with disabilities, supporting them in their communities, and enabling them to contribute towards Jordan's development process.

His Majesty also said he had appointed the son of Prince Raad, His Royal Highness Prince Mired Bin Raad Bin Zeid, as President of the Council to continue the march of charity and humanitarian efforts to serve persons with disabilities.

Prince Raad sent a letter to the King in which he expressed loyalty and allegiance to His Majesty as well as pride in the Royal confidence to chair the Council.
