King Abdullah told National Centre for Human Rights Chairman of the Board of Trustees (NCHR), Mohammad Adnan Bakhit, who handed the King a copy of the 2015 annual report on the condition of human rights in Jordan, of the importance of benefiting from the centre's recommendations to build on them in a way to achieve justice and equality among all.

His Majesty also called for a continually cooperative relationship between the government and NCHR for a speedy implementation of the 2016-2025 national human rights plan.

The King also praised the rights watchdog's efforts in following up on the state of human rights and relevant issues with utmost neutrality, stressing the need to develop and build the centre's capacity to carry out its tasks according to world-class standards.

During the audience, attended by Commissioner General for Human Rights, Mousa Breizat, the NCHR chief outlined the key areas tackled by the report as well as the approach taken to monitor and address notes it had received, and the way to pass these to the competent authorities.
