King Meets King of Thailand

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday met King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. The two monarchs' discussed ways of enhancing bilateral ties in all sectors. During the meeting, King Abdullah also explained the meaning of the Amman Message, a document meant to clarify the fundamental principles of Islam. On Thursday, King Abdullah is expected to meet Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to discuss cooperation in economic, trade and investment as well as the latest political developments in the Middle East. During the King's visit to Thailand, Jordan and Thailand governments will sign agreement on investment protection. Thailand's oldest university, the University of Chulalongkorn, will grant King Abdullah an honorary doctorate in political sciences on Thursday. During the visit to the university, the King will address Thai political, religious, academic and economic figures in Thailand.
