His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday said the Arab Bank had an important role to play in supporting the national economy. During a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arab Bank Abdul Hamid Shoman, King Abdullah said he appreciated the board's decision to offer two percent of bank shares at nominal prices for the benefit of Armed Forces personnel. In a message to the Arab Bank, the King praised the bank management for the bank's contributions to national economic development. Shoman acknowledged the King's interest in the financial sector, which has seen a positive transformation during the past few years. On the occasion of the Arab Bank's 75th anniversary, King Abdullah bestowed on it the Kawkab Decoration of First Order in recognition of its key role in supporting the national economy.
