Emaar chairman briefs King on Dead Sea project

His Majesty King Abdullah was briefed Sunday on the second stage plans for developing the area around the King Hussein Ben Talal Conference Centre on the shore of the Dead Sea.



Emaar's Chairman Mohammad Al Abbar explained the drawings and the designs for the second stage which includes a chain of hotels, commercial centers, villas, chalets, playgrounds and recreational and sports centres, which are around $350 million worth of investments.



The project is the first venture by the Dead Sea for Conferences & Exhibitions Company, 46 per cent of its JD30 million capital is owned by the King Abdullah Development Fund.



Emaar was entrusted by the Dead Sea for Conferences & Exhibitions Company to prepare the designs for the second stage of the project.



Faisal Fayez, Chief of Royal Court and president of The King Abdullah Fund for Development's Board of Trustees, and his Deputy Bassem Awadallah attended the meeting.
