King condemns bomb attacks on Sharm El Sheikh

His Majesty King Abdullah on Saturday condemned the terrorist attacks which targeted the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El Sheikh, killing and injuring dozens of people.



In a cable to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, King Abdullah strongly condemned "such a heinous crime" and extended his condolences to the Egyptian people and government as well as the families of the victims. He also wished the wounded a speedy recovery.


The King also telephoned President Mubarak to voice Amman's solidarity with Cairo. During the call, he emphasized the importance of unifying Arab and international efforts to combat terrorism.


President Mubarak voiced appreciation for the King, and said Egypt is determined to confront terrorists who are seeking to destabilize the region.
