King meets with Arab Knesset members

His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday stressed that Jordan will continue supporting Palestinian people to achieve their aspirations and establish their independent and viable state.



During a meeting with a delegation of Arab Knesset members, His Majesty said that his recent talks with the European leaders focused on the necessity to continue supporting the Palestinians, push the peace process forward and establish a just and comprehensive peace in the region.



His Majesty pointed out that during his recent visit to Europe he sensed a great deal of willingness to find a comprehensive solution for the Israeli-Arab conflict.



On their part, the Arab Knesset members, including Mohammad Barakah, head of the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality; Abdulmalik Dehamshe of the United Arab List and Ahmad Tibi, leader of the Arab Movement for Renewal, hailed Jordan's important role to rally international support for the Palestinian cause. They also appreciated King Abdullah's efforts to secure financial aid to build Palestinian institutions capable of shouldering their responsibilities.



Royal Court Minister Samir Rifai, Foreign Minister Hani Mulki and Jordan's Ambassador to Israel Marouf Bakhit attended the meeting.
