His Majesty King Abdullah called for holding London Conference periodically in order to maintain international support for the Palestinian Authority's reform plans and peace efforts.

During a meeting with British Prime Minister Tony Blair on Thursday in London, King Abdullah said that the conference is a sincere initiative to rally international support for the Palestinian leadership to create a prosperous future for its people.

His Majesty stressed that Israeli withdrawal from Gaza strip should be part of the roadmap and a prelude for a comprehensive Israeli pullout from Palestinian territories. The King stressed that Palestinians and Israelis should be committed to decisions stipulated at the recently-held Sharm El Sheikh summit. He also stressed that Israel should evacuate settlements and release Palestinian prisoners.

On Iraq, King Abdullah called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility and contribute to the reconstruction of the country and help its people build a prosperous future.

The King said: "Jordan is determined to go ahead with its programs aiming at achieving reform and comprehensive development."

Meanwhile, His Majesty King Abdullah said Jordan hopes that Syria will respect UN Resolution 1559 and that the future of Lebanon should be in the hands of the Lebanese.

In an interview with France 2 TV in an interview aired late Wednesday, King Abdullah said: “We, in Jordan, always call for respecting the international law."
