King, Croatian PM discuss bilateral ties

His Majesty King Abdullah and Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Sunday held talks on regional developments as well as ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and cultural fields.



During the meeting, His Majesty the King said that a viable Palestinian state and a comprehensive peaceful solution to the Middle East conflict would restore security and stability.



King Abdullah stressed that the international community should shoulder its responsibilities and help rebuild Iraq and enable its people to have a better future.



His Majesty said Jordan was keen to develop ties with Croatia and exchange expertise in various fields.



King Abdullah and Croatian Prime Minister also discussed the possibility of establishing a joint free trade zone to encourage the private sectors in both countries to cooperate and exchange expertise.



Sanader expressed his country's appreciation for the King's efforts to advance the peace process, adding that reform plans in the Kingdom constitute a model in the region.
