His Majesty King Abdullah II called upon Iraqis to preserve Iraq's sanctity and hold its allegiance to the Arab stressing the necessity to hold inclusive in the country as soon as possible.

"Iraq's urgently needs a legitimate and inclusive political system. It is importance that the upcoming elections be held as soon as possible-it is also important that they must be inclusive," King Abdullah said Saturday in a speech at the World Affairs Council for North California and the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco.

"Iraqi Shiites and Sunnis should hold Iraq, sacred, Iraq's Arab allegiance. And all Iraqis should reject any interference in Iraq's internal affairs," King Abdullah said in presence of an audience leading politicians, intellectual and prominent media people.

Referring to Palestinian-Israeli conflict, King Abdullah said
the Arab-Israeli conflict is the core challenge in the region. "This
cycle of violence remains the key barrier to stability and progress
in my region," the King said.

"It is time to move seriously toward the two-state solution,
which is the basis for lasting peace. That calls for action and
compromise on both sides...because every day of continued violence
serves the enemies of Palestine's democratic development and Israel's
ultimate security," King Abdullah said.

"The world is looking to Israel to recommit to the roadmap
and to take real confidence building measures towards peace and the
Palestinians also must meet the challenges of responsible
leadership," he added.

A future for the region depends on reform and reform
must start from within the region itself because if it is imposed
from outside it would not create the desired change, the King noted.

"In Jordan, the reform process is well underway. Our country
has made structural changes to embed human rights and build
democratic political life and in the economy, we have encouraged
innovation and partnership with the private sector," King Abdullah
said.
