King Starts Visit to the United States

His Majesty king Abdullah II started a few-day official visit to the United States.



The King and the US President George Bush will hold a summit at the White House during which they will discuss the current developments in the Middle East, Means of reviving the peace process and putting it back on its proper track.



The talks will also cover efforts being exerted to restore security and stability to Iraq as well as relations between the two countries in all fields.



The King will meet over the next two days a number of senior US administration officials and a number of economic figures.



The King will deliver a speech at the World Affairs Council of North California and the Commonwealth Club of San Francisco in the presence of members of the council and political and media figures.



King Abdullah is accompanied by Prime Minister Faisal Fayez, the King's Advisor for Security Affairs and President of the State Security Council General Saad Kheir, Minister of the Hashemite Royal Court Sameer Rifai, the King's Advisor Akil Beltaji, Foreign Minister Dr. Hani Mulki and Planning and International Cooperation Minister Dr. Basim Awadallah.
