Royal Hashemite Court Mourns the Passing Away of the Palestinian Leader

Upon the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, with hearts filled with faith in God's will and destiny of every human being, the Royal Hashemite Court mourns with great sorrow and sadness the passing away of the Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat-May God bless his soul-who dedicated his life to defending the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to realize their aspirations for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.



The Royal Hashemite Court, while mourning this distinguished leader, declares a 40-day period of mourning starting from Thursday, November 11, 2004.



The Royal Hashemite Court expresses the grief and sorrow of His Majesty King Abdullah II and the united Jordanian family for this great loss and stands by the Palestinian National Authority and our Palestinian brethren in these grave and difficult times.



The Royal Hashemite Court asks for God's mercy and blessings for the prominent leader, praying that paradise will be his resting place, and extends condolences to his family and our brethren, the Palestinian people.
