His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed the importance of activating the work of civil society and youth institutions in the Ma'an Governorate, and support all institutions concerned in youth and their aspirations.

During a meeting with four students from Al Hussein University in Ma'an, His Majesty was briefed on recommendations of the study they conducted on youth development in Ma'an Governorate.

King Abdullah highlighted the need to crystallize a comprehensive plan to develop Ma'an, and to enable the youth to take a pioneering role that would encourage them to work.

His Majesty stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to establish developmental projects that would create job opportunities for the unemployed youth in the Ma'an Governorate.

The idea of the study came during the Jordan Youth Forum, which was held under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II on the Dead Sea shore on July 17.

During the forum, which was organized by the King Abdullah Development Fund, His Majesty called on the students to prepare recommendations that would contribute to enhancing the participation of youth in life and encouraging them to be more creative.
