King Returns Home

His Majesty King Abdullah II returned home Sunday after several-hour visit to Turkey during he attended the wedding ceremony of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's daughter in Istanbul.



The ceremony was attended by a number of world leaders and over 6000 dignitaries from Turkey and other world countries. King Abdullah, Pakistani President Pervez Muasharraf, Greek Premier Costas Caramanlis, Romanian Premier Adrian Nastase, Turkish Parliament Speaker and Turkish Foreign Minister served as witness at the ceremony and signed the marriage contract.



During the ceremony, King Abdullah, who was accompanied by Royal Court Minister, recited verses from the Holy Quran that show the sacred bond of marriage in Islam and the amicable, peaceful and friendly relationship that tie a husband to the wife he has chosen. "We are meeting here today from different corners of the world to celebrate our common humanity and common future," said King Abdullah before the guests attending the ceremony.
