King Meets Dignitaries from Jarash Governorate

His Majesty King Abdullah II said that our primary concern now is to realize a comprehensive economic development in all Kingdom's governorates with a view to increase jobs opportunities and curb unemployment.



The King's remarks came during his meeting with dignitaries and key figures from Jarash governorate at Raghadan Palace on Tuesday. King Abdullah stressed the necessity to speed up measures to implement development plans in the governorates to make them points of attraction for the population. The King called upon the citizens of Jarash to come up with their thoughts on projects that can be established in their governorate. "My top priority is always to improve standards of living of the citizen and to help him/her participate in making his/her future," King Abdullah said. " We are forging ahead with modernization and reform process" and there is no way but to achieve comprehensive political development in which all citizens can take part, the King said, during the meeting, which was attended by Prime Minister, the King's advisor, the Royal Court Minister and a number of cabinet ministers. The government has put forward it political development project and the civil society institutions should meet it in the middle of the road to come up with a well-tailored political development fit for our Jordan to make a model in the region, the King noted.



The persistence of division amongst political parties and the lack platform parliamentary blocs still hamper the process of political development in the Kingdom, the King said.
