King Condemns the Execution of the American Citizen in Saudi Arabia

His Majesty King Abdullah II expressed shock and repugnance over the execution of the American citizen Johnson in Saudi Arabia, after he was kidnapped by terrorists from Al Qaeda network yesterday.



In statements to the Jordanian Radio and the American station CNN, the King stated that it is awful and humiliating to commit this crime in the name of Islam, affirming that this crime violates the teachings of Islam and all human values.



The king called on the international community to unite and fight
these crimes and terrorist actions which are committed in the name of God or Islam.



He added that the goals of these evil actions are not only aimed against the US and the west but also against Islam and humanity.



King Abdullah stressed his support to Saudi Arabia and its efforts in combating terrorists.



"This crime hurt me in the heart, it is a frightening and awful thing to commit this crime in the name of God and Islam" the King said.



The King added that he fully supports the Johnsons in these difficult circumstances.
