His Majesty King Abdullah II on Friday
gave instructions to send an urgent relief aid caravan to Falluja,
Iraq. The aid included food stuffs, pharmaceuticals and blankets
to help ease the Iraqi people's suffering in the besieged city where
killing and destruction prevail.



The King gave instructions also to increase the Jordanian field
hospital's capabilities. The hospital , established a year ago in
Falluja, received thousands of cases . Pharmaceuticals and medical
equipment are expected to be sent to the hospital in order to meet
the needs of citizens in these tough circumstances.



General Secretary of the Hashemite Jordanian Charity Foundation
(HJCF) Abdul Salam Abbadi said that upon His Majesty's instructions,
HJCF has prepared a relief caravan of 20 vehicles loaded
with pharmaceuticals, foodstuffs and blankets, among other aid
materials to be sent to the Iraqi people. The caravan is expected to
leave on Saturday afternoon.
