King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Visit Misir Carsis Market in Istanbul

Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania on Wednesday visited Misir Carsis market in Istanbul, where they the ancient public market with local citizens.



The market was built in the 1664 and is considered one of oldest market in Istanbul and it is the second largest covered bazaar in Istanbul ithe market is also called Spice Bazaar. It stands as a distinguished example of Ottoman architecture.



Their Majesties also visited TOPKAPI Palace, which was built by Sultan Muhammad Al Fateh in 1478. The palace consists of 400 rooms and a museum displaying trusts of for Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon including him including his Bourdah(cloak) and his walking stick, in addition to swords of Prophet's successors(caliphs) and keys of Kaabah.



Topkapi Palace, was a sympolic and political center of the Ottoman Empire between the 15th and 19th centuries. It stands on the tip of land where the Golden Horn, the Sea of Marmara and the Bosphorus come together, and is a maze of buildings centered around a series of courtyards, typical of Islamic tradition.
