King Holds Talks with the Leader of the Israeli Labor Party

His Majesty King Abdullah II held on Tuesday talks with Leader of the Israeli Labor Party Shimon Peres, who was on a special visit to Jordan.

During the meeting, which was attended by Minister of the Hashemite Royal Court Sameer Rifai, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Bassem Awadallah and member of the Labor Party Benjamin bin Aliazer, the King affirmed that arriving at peace is the only way to achieve stability in the region which necessitates the Israel's withdrawal from the Palestinian territories and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state living side by side with Israel.

The meeting also focused on the ways of reviving the peace process and supporting the peaceful initiatives presented to end the Arab Israeli conflict.
