His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed on Monday his support for the educational development project towards the knowledge-based economy, which the Ministry of Education started implementing it last year.



During a visit on Monday to the Ministry of Education, His Majesty was assured that the project has the necessary fund to proceed, affirming the continuation of coordination to implement the various educational projects that aim at developing the Jordanian educational system.



Minister of Education Khaled Touqan briefed His Majesty on the elements of the educational development project, which will last till the year 2008, illustrating that this project is a part of other projects that inspires His Majesty's visions towards the necessity of developing the educational system in order to keep pace with the age of information technology and knowledge.



Touqan said that the JD300 million project aims at achieving distinction and perfection through investing Jordanian human resources to reach developed and live curricula in which teachers take part in their preparation.
