His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday made a phone call with Canadian Prime Minister John Cretian during which the King stressed the necessity to exert every possible effort to stop the war on Iraq as soon as possible.

The King expressed his deep worry over the increasing suffering sustained by the brotherly Iraqi people as a result of this war. His Majesty also warned against the tragic consequences of the war on innocent civilians.
