King Receives Director General of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development

His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Monday Director General of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development Dr. Abdul Latif Al Hamad.

During the meeting which was attended by chief of the Royal Court and planning minister, the two sides reviewed scopes of cooperation between Jordan and the Fund as well as the Fund's support to developmental projects in the Kingdom.

His Majesty voiced appreciation for the Fund's support to developmental projects in Jordan especially in the fields of water, energy and electricity, affirming his support for the government's continuous cooperation with the fund which has financed vital projects in the Arab world.

Dr. Al Hamad for his part stressed that he would back the King's efforts to achieve economic and social development and support His Majesty's vision to invest in Jordanian capacities with a view to increase competitiveness of the Jordanian economy.

He also briefed His Majesty on the Fund's plans to finance educational projects in the Kingdom which include constructing and computerizing new schools in Jordan.
