King Receives Telephone Call from British Prime Minister

His Majesty King Abdullah II received on Wednesday a phone call from British Prime Minister Tony Blair during which they exchanged views on the latest developments in the region as well as the situation in the Palestinian lands.

The King and Blair also reviewed steps that should be taken in the upcoming stage including the convening of an international peace conference within the references of peace that had been agreed upon.

The two sides underlined the importance of speeding up efforts to reach a peaceful solution to the Palestinian issue in light of the increase in the cycle of violence and the deteriorating situation in the Palestinian lands.
