King visits Public Security Directorate

His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Monday visited the Public Security Directorate (PSD), where His Majesty was briefed by PSD Director Major General Atef Saudi about developing police work in PSD sections and units, as well as the traffic system.

Major General Saudi reviewed the directorate's executive plans, and measures taken to improve security services provided to citizens as well as Jordan's guests.

King Abdullah voiced appreciation of efforts exerted by PSD members to preserve security in the country. His Majesty also instructed the PSD director to restructure all departments and units in order to improve their competence as well as that of the PSD personnel.

During the visit, the King also toured the PSD's Command and Control Centre, where His Majesty was briefed about duties and tasks of the centre, the modernisation process it underwent as well as methods adopted to receive complaints and deal with them in a speedy and accurate manner.

The King expressed pride in the advanced level the centre has reached in providing services to citizens.
