His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Sunday visited a border guard unit at the northern border.

During the visit, King Abdullah, accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben, spoke with the army personnel, checked on their conditions and joined them for dinner.

His Majesty expressed satisfaction with the outstanding level of the unit's performance and their professionalism in dealing with the situation at the northern border, both in cooperating with Syrian refugees and combating infiltration and smuggling attempts.

The King also commended their distinguished efforts in carrying out the tasks they are entrusted with around the clock.
