King, UAE president discuss current regional developments

His Majesty King Abdullah II, in a phone call on Tuesday with United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, discussed current regional developments and efforts to reach comprehensive calm.
The call covered the importance of stepping up efforts to prevent the expansion of conflict in the region in order to maintain its security and stability, as well as working to create a political horizon to achieve just, comprehensive, and lasting peace on the basis of the two-state solution.
His Majesty stressed the need to stop the war on Gaza, ensure the success of the ceasefire in Lebanon, and preserve the security and stability of Syria.
The King highlighted the importance of bolstering the humanitarian response in Gaza and ensuring aid reaches all areas of the Strip.
The two leaders also discussed the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and the UAE, with His Majesty expressing best wishes to Sheikh Mohamed on the occasion of the UAE’s national day.
