His Majesty King Abdullah on Thursday stressed the importance of the international community's continuous support to the Palestinian people to overcome their difficult economic circumstances.

The King told Quartet special envoy James Wolfensohn at a meeting that Jordan will continue its effort to ensure the flow of aid to the Palestinians.

King Abdullah last week ordered urgent relief aid to the Palestinian people.

For his part, Wolfensohn voiced appreciation for His Majesty's efforts to spread peace and stability in the Middle East and for Jordan's continuous support to the Palestinians.
